This was a company that made Ayurvedic herbal supplement to cure and control diabetes. They promoted the practise of regulating blood glucose levels following three priciples of Ahara (nutrition), Vihara (exercise), and Aushadhi (herbal medicines).  Although they were active since 2005, the company was making poor sales through online means. They came to me looking for a solution to revamp their online sales strategy. 

Challenges:

Low Conversion Rates:

- Heavy dependence on Facebook and Google ads resulted in a conversion rate of less than 0.5%.
- Zero organic traffic to the website.

Lack of Trust:

- No brand ambassadors or credible testimonials.
- Website lacked sufficient information and credibility for healthcare consumers.

Products were sold exclusively on their website, with no presence on major e-commerce platforms like Amazon or Flipkart.

    • Developed a “Diabetes Controllability Test” application and distributed Ayurveda-based diet and exercise charts.
    • Registered 50K–1 lakh users every three months, building a database of over 1 million diabetics.
  2. Lead Nurturing:
    • Created a 365-day email sequence with relatable, informative, and engaging content to convert leads into customers.
    • Built WhatsApp and Facebook communities offering resources like:
      • Weekly webinars and Q&A sessions by Ayurvedic doctors.
      • Personal consultations with doctors for a fee.
      • Weekly podcasts featuring diabetes experts and success stories.
  3. E-Commerce Expansion:
    • Listed products on Amazon, Flipkart, and iHerbs to leverage the credibility and reach of these platforms.
  4. Parallel Brand Strategy:
    • Launched a bridge marketing brand focused on educating users about Ahara (nutrition) and Vihara (exercise).
    • Organized 5-day health camps led by Ayurvedic doctors who recommended the supplements as part of comprehensive diabetes management packages.
  5. SEO Optimization:
    • Enhanced the brand’s website for organic search traffic, boosting credibility and conversion rates.
  6. Automation and Retention:
    • Built a self-service sales system with automated processes, reducing manual intervention.
    • Increased customer retention from 25% to 50% through upsell nurturing and parallel brand activities.
